The following postures are here simply to give you an introduction to the poses of yoga. They are not here to serve as a guide. Please do not do them without the supervision of an instructor. Most of them may be modified to better suit your needs. Some of the poses may look too challenging. Some of the poses may look very easy.  Mastering the basic positions is key to the body part of  yoga. The end goal of yoga is not to end of in a "pretzel" as some may believe. Many great yogis never achieve that particular limberness. I have labeled them with the english name and the sanskrit name in parenthesis. Sanskrit is the orginal language of yoga.
